The Energy Transition Law provides cities with new tools to manage their urban logistics. For manufacturers, retailers and their suppliers, the last kilometre becomes a new differentiator, creating value by improving service levels. In addition to better service quality, the environmental variable justifies a choice of transport better adapted to urban logistics. Faced with new constraints and new consumer behaviour, urban logistics also allows opportunity for additional services adaptable in terms of cost and quality. It is this quality of supplementary service which points to the viability of the economic model for urban deliveries.
