  • This event is dedicated to rail freight and combined transport. Infrastructure costs are increasingly leading players to optimise the use of existing capacities to convince shippers to choose more flexible and efficient services. What solutions are they using? Logistics experts, forwarding agents and operators are changing their processes to make rail freight more attractive, by digitalising orders, pooling traffic and developing quick solutions. The digital revolution is affecting all stages of rail transport. This session will explore how various players are optimising their business and performance, from infrastructure managers for train slots, to operators who are offering shippers better goods tracking, not to mention the increasing role of start-ups offering real solutions to occasional problems. What are some of these concrete examples? What are the conditions and constraints involved in creating an industrial spur? Rail transport professions: what is the role of each player, from the forwarding agent to the operator?
