Everything is in place for a wonderful exhibition ...
March 2011 - SITL Logistics Solutions opens its doors with two new centres of excellence: Security/Safety and Planning/Scheduling; a structured offer in four well defined zones: Transport/Storage, Warehousing/Related Equipment, Logistics Sites, Technologies/Information Systems and the RFID Show, that focuses on transport and logistics.
With Orium, e-logistics and e-commerce set the tone for commerce of the future
E-logistician for 9 years, currently operating in 7 European countries including France and soon in the US, Orium has been able to win the trust of both large accounts and e-commerce specialists such as Nespresso, Smartbox, Dukan, Wanimo and also Marie-Claire. Orium is well known for the agility and reliability with which it is able to manage the complete e-commerce value chain.
This success has its origins in Orium’s approach with an early optimisation of automation and informatics. Today production is concentrated around a leading WMS ( Reflex, Hardis) and a dedicated ERP system which is flexible and evolutionary ( Logorium). Created internally, the ERP system has been designed to be in phase with the level of service requirements of the digital economy.
Orium has also created an international network to support the deployment of its clients outside France. It is therefore capable to steer their stocks and logistics “overseas” as well as locally in Europe.

Médecins Sans Frontières – Beyond the emergency
For the second year running, the International Transport and Logistics Forum is the result of a partnership between SITL and PricewaterhouseCoopers. It launches the first day of the exhibition with the inaugural conference with the unifying theme of “Which logistics solutions provide better competitiveness tomorrow”.
This will be followed by 5 plenary conferences:
1- Innovation in the Supply Chain: best practice between transporters and shippers
2- In what measure can innovation revolutionise current logistics practices?
3- What innovations can improve the security of transported goods?
4- What will be the impact on international commerce of the 2011 changes in incoterms?
5 – What innovations in transport and logistics can be applied from humanitarian operations?
Press release: September 10th, 2010
Innovation, driving force of competitiveness, will be the central theme in 2011 behind all aspects of the event synchronising the contents from the plenary conferences and the solutions presented by the exhibitors.
As a result, for 2011 SITL has a new name.
In effect, Real Time gives way to Logistics Solutions, better adapted to the evolution of a sector which must now think in terms of end-to-end global supply chains.
To support this new identity, SITL takes on a different structure.
The former three sectors have been replaced by four simplified, clear and complementary activity centres: Transport- Storage, Warehousing and related Equipment- Logistics platforms- Technologies and Information systems to which a fifth zone has been added which is dedicated to shipment and warehouse security.
Innovation, driving force of logistics competitiveness
With a new name, new visual identity, redefined categories of skills and direct access to the RFID and Eco Transport & Logistics exhibitions, SITL Logistics Solutions 2011 takes its place with the badge of innovation.
SITL Logistics Solutions is the new brand name for the event organised by Reed Expositions at the Parc des Expositions de Paris – Porte de Versailles and which alternates with SITL Europe. New visual identity, new logo, these changes are in line with the evolution of the show as it adapts to the needs of the market.
As Laurent Noel, event director, explains “The previous name for the show- SITL Real Time- did not reflect the global offer available which is dedicated to supply chain managers, logisticians and buyers of Transport-Logistics solutions. We needed to better respond to their requirements in terms of information systems, modes of transport, logistics supplies, warehouse location and design together with warehouse equipment and handling including consultancy. With SITL Logistics Solutions the message becomes much clearer.”

A new positioning!
Previously called “SITL Real Time”, the exhibition is renamed “SITL, the logistics solutions exhibition” because it has involved and adapted its positioning to the needs of the supply chain managers and logisticians.
The new positioning of the exhibition allows it to be closer to the needs of its exhibitors and visitors, through four centres of excellence: the « Transport » centre, the « Logistics platforms » centre, the « Storage, Warehousing & related equipment » centre and the « Technologies & Information Systems » centre.
