A functioning logistics platform is a source of significant emissions of CO2 and all the more so if it is well heated. The innovation submitted is a complete treatment of the envelope and of the energy systems to achieve a BBC label (low consumption building) associated to a mode of alternative heat production: a biomass boiler using wood bricks. The carbon footprint of the installation is reduced 10 times!

The Parc des Bréguières, developed by BARJANE (investor, builder, developer and manager) represents a new generation of logistics parks which integrate sustainable development. Its objective is to link technical and economic performance to the creation of pleasant and efficient working conditions for users, the management of risks and respect for the environment. To achieve this, it benefits from ISO 14001 certification on a global scale: project conception, green building, business friendly and sustainable management of the park.

Mobilbox is the leading French operator in the self-storage sector. The principle is simple: a storage box, volume 8 m3, is delivered to the client, business or individual, and left in the street so that easy disposal of whatever need storing can be put in it (furniture, files…). Once it is full, MOBILBOX tows the box to the warehouse where it will be stored in complete security. When the client wishes, the box is returned to the address of their choice so that the goods can be recovered. The client doesn’t need to move: the storage comes to them.

Simple pressure on the pedal transforms the Pally and its load (up to 500kg) from a pallet function to the truck function and vice versa. Pally has the capability to transform itself into a truck at any stage in the logistics cycle. In this way it significantly reduces movements and increases productivity compared to traditional equipment and methods. Pally is compatible with automated production lines and conveyor systems and traditional material handling equipment.

EcoTransIT World is a free calculator of the environmental impact designed for global logistics chains. Recognised by the European Environment Agency, the 5th version of the calculator measures the impact based on several criteria specific to each mode of transport: SIG network by mode, origin/destination, type of goods, load rate, empty returns, intermodal transfers.
